Have you played World of Warcraft before?

I primarily played not long after the game came out with my guild from Dark age of Camelot (Chaos Theory) on Bloodhoof. Played for approximately 6 months but due to RL commitments of all our members we didnt get any serious raiding done and the pvp was minimal due to being on a pve realm. Most of us left the game then and went on to others, i played abit longer and have been coming and going from the game ever since.

About your Character.

I have played nearly all classes to about level 25, a rogue to lvl 49 a warlock to 40ish. I like to play nearly any character so may decide to play one that i have not really played much on re-roll or most probably roll a character for the needs of the guild.

General Activity: I generaly play random days during the week 6-11/12pm and on the weekends i play what time i have spare, can be a lot, can be minimal.
Have you played this class before?: Not in raids but pve in general and small instances
Will you be willing to Re-spec your talent for Endgame when called upon? yes i like to play all specs
What are your personal goals with this character?: I would like to actualy get this character to lvl 70 and experience some of the end game instances, visually impressive environments and challenging pve make a nice change from rvr in daoc.

What are your thoughts on Loot and Loot distribution?:

After reading some other app's im not quite sure what DKP? is or on any of the prefered item distribution techniques. From my experience of large raids in daoc i find raids go a lot smoother with items being distributed between officers and being sorted out after we have finished. More can be done this way during the time period and there is less squabbling over who rolled for what during the raid and wasting time.

Why are you looking to Join us / Re-roll?:

My main concern with this game is the lack of mature guilds that have a RL. I have been in countless guilds that have been filled with 10yr old elitist children screaming over vent because they have not got an item they want or we are not doing what they want to do. After reading a few posts its nice to see a guild that understand that people have a RL and not glued to there computer chair 24/7. You also seem to want to stick to the guild and not leave after the first week, which is what i am looking for to make me stay the full duration

Do you have any goals within the Guild? Example - To become an Officer, Raid Leader, Class leader etc, and Why?:

Id have to say my main goal will be to at least reach lvl 70 But atm i can not comment on any of my other aspirations due to my lack of experience in WoW guilds and end game raiding/instances in general.

Do you Enjoy and participate in regular Forum Use?

i try to look at the forums at least one per day when im at home, during the winter months when i am stuck in the office and bored i generaly will check them a lot more though. I tend to Regularly post useful items i find and join in discussions.


My application doesnt realy shine with things i can bring to the guild from past experience, but im a good listener and have plenty of experience playing alot of set 8man rvr groups on DaoC, working as team and taking orders. With some help from the more experienced players i can easily pick up most classes.

Hey Andy, 1st off - Thanks for the application.

There are some areas of your application i'd like to go over before i make any final decisions.

I don't want to force you into a character and i don't plan too, and i know we are in the early stages of forming the guild and can't afford to be be too picky - but i do have concerns as to you not having decided on a Class (Race is not important till you decide a class anyway ).
I would prefer you got to considering that and come up a 2-3 class shortlist relatively soon, perhaps checking out a few forums might help you decide what role you want to play in the raids. Do you want to be a Main role or support role?, Do you like to Save ass or Kick ass? Do you strive under pressure? If not maybe a DPS class is better suited to you.

I am gonna let you in, you do at least seem sincere and come across as a nice guy but i would like for you to give some serious thought to picking a class in the next few days.

I was thinking of making a combat fist/sword rogue Holy pala or a dw fury warrior. Im leaning more towards the latter 2 since i have played a rogue a fair way through the game so would be nice to have a change of scenery.

Thought it may be easier to leave the class picking till we had some actual raid specs made up then i could just fill in any spots that were lacking.

Have had a lot of free time at work so i have been browsing guides and forums a lot and messing about with the class calculators. Like to try and go against the grain with spec ideas since you never know what you might come up with.

With raiding still at least 2-3 months away specs aren't too much of a problem, i not one to hold people to 'standard' specs to achieve raid places - I much prefer someone says - I want to be X-class because i think i will enjoy it as well as make it perform well, rather than someone who says I want x-class because i want to the best ever, topping which ever meter is relevant to my class. Someone always finishes last.

I dont really have any problem with classes being played outside what many consider to be the Normal role for X Class - I.e. DPS Warriors, Retri Paladins and too a lesser extent Balance Druids - just find a balance, try to make it work but be-aware that not every type of style suits every person.
